Sonography Education in Massachusetts
There are five accredited Masterclasses sonography schools. They are Bunker Hill Community College, Middlesex Community College, Massasoit Community College, Springfield Technical Community College, and Cape Cod Community College. The offer an Associates degree in Sonography or a Sonography certificate. Middlesex Community College is the biggest of the sonography schools in Massachusetts  The average yearly tuition for a degree in sonography is around $3,500. Financial aid is offered in the form of Pell grants or federal loans. There isn’t necessarily job placement available, but graduates of this program at Middlesex Community College have a very high pass rate of the certification examination.

Career Outlook for Sonography in Massachusetts
There is projected growth in the sonography industry, but it is only 10% which is below the national average. As the demand is increasing, so are the salaries. Annual salary for graduates of Massachusetts sonography schools can range from less than $40,000 to more than $68,000. The median annual salary is around $54,000 which is below the national average of $64,000, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Outlook Handbook 2010 edition. One of the top employers for sonographers includes Massachusetts General Hospital, which is one of the 50 biggest hospitals in the country. Other employment opportunities exist at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Aureus Medical Group, and Good Samaritan Medical Center.
